Stephanie Kang




Stephanie Kang (b. 1991) specializes in new media art, specifically video, installation, and Internet art that addresses issues of identity. She received her MFA in Visual Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015 and her BFA in Studio Art from Calvin College in 2013. She is currently pursuing an MA in the History of Art at The Ohio State University. Drawing on her previous studies of visual art and culture, her current research focuses on contemporary work that utilizes social media platforms and Internet culture to examine newly formed perceptions of personal and collective identity. Her work has been exhibited at venues and institutions like the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, and the Athens Digital Arts Festival.
